- 1. Whey is an excellent source of high-quality protein.
Whey is the liquid the
that separates from milk when cheese is made. It is a complete, high-quality protein that contains all the essential amino acids in ratios that make it better source of protein than even the egg.
Food Protein Nutritional
Values
Biological Value (BV) is the Proportion of absorbed protein that is retained in the body for repair or growth.

Compared to any other protein source, whey is the easiest to digest. For example, after a meal with whey in it, protein synthesis in the body is stimulated by 68%, however with Casein Protein, protein synthesis in the body was only improved by 31%. In conclusion, the speed of protein digestion and amino acid absorption from the gut has a major effect on whole
body protein anabolism after one single meal.
- 2. Whey protein promotes muscle growth.
Due to a number of factors, muscle mass declines with age.
This usually leads to insulin insensitivity, fat gain and raises the risk of other chronic diseases.
This
adverse change in body composition can be combated or reversed with a combination of strength training and optimal diet.
Aging does not inevitably reduce the muscle
building response to a high-quality protein meal. Ingestion of approximately 25-30 g of protein per meal maximally stimulates muscle protein synthesis in both young and older individuals. However, muscle protein synthesis is blunted in elderly when protein and carbohydrate are ingested together or when the quantity of protein is less
than approximately 20 g per meal. Supplementing regular meals with leucine may also enhance the muscle protein synthesis response in elders.
Note with each scoop of Green Meadow Whey, you get 24 grams of high quality, complete protein. That means that to ensure your optimal 25-30 grams of protein per meal, you can supplement your meal with ½ to 1 scoop of Green Meadow Whey.
After 10 years of body building, working out in the gym for 3 hours at a time, and after trying many other brands of protein powder; Jose builds muscle like never before while consuming Green Meadow Whey:
"Hello, my name is Jose and I'm 38 years of age. I've been a bodybuilder, consistently since the age of 28. From then until now, I've spent 3 hours in the gym 4 days per week. Over the
years I've bought and used approximately 7 different whey protein powders from companies like Optimum Nutrition, Muscle Milk, MuscleTech, Isopure, BSN Syntha, Dymatize Iso100 and Garden of Life's product. None of which made a big difference in my health, energy or muscle building. In May of 2020, I started to take Green Meadow Whey. I noticed after 3 weeks I had more energy, I gained muscle and my recovery after a workout was faster. Then at the suggestion of Nutripath, Stephen
Heuer, I added his cold pressed, virtually zero oxidation flaxseed oil to my Green Meadow Whey shakes. The results took my health to the next level. In a month and a half, I gained 3-inches of muscle on my legs, plus an inch and a half on my
arms and chest and the soreness after a workout reduced even further; Plus, my workouts were 2 hours longer. I am impressed and recommend that anyone wanting greater athletic ability and faster recovery, take Green Meadow Whey in combination with Stephen's cold pressed flaxseed oil."
3. Non-denatured whey protein may lower blood pressure.
Lowering Blood Pressure
Peptides from the whey
alpha-lactalbumin, beta-lactoglobulin, lactokinin and bovine serum albumin, inhibit ACE (Angiotensin-I-converting enzyme). The most potent ACE inhibitor to date is lactokinin. While these proteins do not have
the inhibitory potency of synthetic drugs commonly used in the treatment of hypertension, these naturally occurring proteins may represent nutraceutical/functional food ingredients for the prevention/treatment of high blood pressure.
- 4. Whey protein may help treat diabetes.
In obese
adults lactoferrin levels are low, and then decrease even further when a high fat meal is consumed. This research also showed that when lactoferrin is low, free radical damage and inflammation are higher (C-reactive protein or CRP). A year earlier this same research team showed that lactoferrin is low in individuals with insulin resistance. When immune cells that naturally produce lactoferrin as part of the immune response were challenged, they were unable to produce the normal amount of lactoferrin. Again, this second study showed that low lactoferrin was associated with chronic low-grade inflammation.
Effect of whey on blood glucose and insulin responses to composite breakfast and lunch meals in type 2 diabetic subjects
It can be
concluded that the addition of whey to meals with rapidly digested and absorbed carbohydrates stimulates insulin release and reduces after meal blood glucose deviation after a lunch meal consisting of mashed potatoes and meatballs in type 2 diabetic subjects.
Effects of a protein preload on stomach emptying, blood sugar, and gut hormones after a carbohydrate meal in type 2 diabetes.
Whey protein consumed before a carbohydrate meal can stimulate insulin and intestinal hormone release and slow gastric emptying, leading to marked reduction in after meal glucose levels in type 2 diabetes.
We can conclude from the above studies that whey protein can be effectively used as a supplemental intervention for type 2 diabetes.
Type 2 Diabetic Helen Jacobs has fantastic improvements in sugar handling while consuming One World Whey (Now called Green Meadow Whey).
5. Whey protein contributes to healthy inflammation levels.
Once injury occurs in the body, inflammation occurs to increase circulation to the area. The inflammation serves the dual role of bringing nutrients and immune factors to repair the area as well as to carry away damaged cells.
When inflammation becomes chronic, then it blocks the body’s ability to heal or repair itself.
Lactoferrin is a multifunctional protein occurring in many biological secretions including milk. It possesses iron binding/transferring, antibacterial, antiviral, antifungal, anti-inflammatory and anti-carcinogenic properties. These functional properties intimately depend on the structural integrity of Lactoferrin. Lactoferrin is primarily extracted from cows milk, and it is subsequently added into many commercial products such as nutritional supplements, infant
formula, cosmetics, and toothpaste. Lactoferrin is sensitive to denaturation induced by temperature and other physicochemical stresses. Hence, the extraction, powder formation processes of Lactoferrin and processing parameters of Lactoferrin-containing products have to be optimized to minimize its undesired denaturation.
GREEN MEADOW WHEY IS THE ONLY UNHEATED – COLD STERILIZED, GRASS PASTURED, ENERGY ENCODED, WHEY PROTEIN PRODUCT ON THE MARKET. THEREFORE, IT PROVIDES THE MOST BIOACTIVE Non-Denatured - LACTOFERRIN!
High doses of whey protein have been shown to reduce blood levels of C-reactive protein, indicating that it can help reduce
inflammation.
- 6. Whey protein may help with inflammation of the intestines.
Inflammatory bowel disease is characterized by chronic
inflammation and irritation of the lining of the digestive tract. It may be a precursor to a leaky gut.
Whey protein reduced inflammation markers interleukin 1beta,
calprotectin, and inducible nitric oxide synthase, and diminished the clinical symptoms of diarrhea and blood loss in the stools. In addition, whey protein increased fecal lactobacilli and bifidobacteria counts. In conclusion, whey protein protected rats against drug-induced gut inflammation.
Jay Cooper’s Colitis Testimony: "My name is Jay, I’m 26 years of age, and I just want to thank the makers of, the Green Meadow Whey protein powder. After having chronic abdominal pain and pressure for months, I was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis. The medical doctor told me there was nothing I could do to treat it, other
than taking pain and nausea medication. Then, I came across an ad for Green Meadow Whey on the radio and read the claims that it can help with all types of inflammation. I took the Green Meadow Whey protein powder, every day, for a month, and the chronic pain and pressure sensations went away completely! And I never took the pain or nausea meds. To this day my intestines are free of pain."
Charles Johnston Reduced muscle soreness: “From the very first mouthful of Green Meadow Whey I noticed a difference. I had decided to give it a try because of the claim that they use a cold processing technique to preserve the proteins and amino acids. I wondered if this could make a difference, because anytime I’ve tired
whey protein products in the past I got stomach upsets. Not so with Green Meadow Whey, in fact after only a month my overall sense of well-being has increased dramatically. My lifting strength is up by 50% and it seems to have corrected lingering joint and muscle pain that has been with me for years. My guess is I’m getting extra glutathione, which is reducing cellular inflammation because of glutathione’s powerful antioxidant properties. Green Meadow Whey is definitely a one of a kind
product.”
7. Whey protein is proven to enhance the body’s antioxidant defenses.
Antioxidants are chemicals that grab onto and neutralize excess oxidation in the body. This means they neutralize free radicals, which lowers inflammation and the risk of disease.
The antioxidant required in the most abundant amounts is glutathione. Unlike beta-carotene, vitamin E or C or Pycnogenol, or other supplemental antioxidants, glutathione is produced by your
body.
The body depends upon glutamic acid, glycine, and cysteine to make glutathione. Glutamic acid and glycine are abundant in the cells. The only amino acid
that is chronically deficient in cysteine. The richest food source of cysteine is Whey protein concentrate.
The optimal level of intracellular
glutathione is 10%. That is 10% of the intracellular protein contents of every cell of your body, when in an optimally healthy state is Glutathione, which is a very large amount. However, due to toxicity in the body and aging, the body is unable to produce optimal glutathione levels, unless supplemented. With undamaged whey protein
powder, you supply your body with the highest dietary source of the building blocks for glutathione production. The results can be simply amazing.
Lesley’s
depression lifts and gets off Prozac after 10 months on Green Meadow Whey: "My name is Lesley, I had depression since I was child; I have been on Prozac for 20 years. I got onto Green Meadow Whey
and my need for Prozac was reduced by 50% within 6 months. Now after less than one year I am completely off of Prozac. I learned that high levels of glutamate in the brain is a causal factor in depression and that by increasing glutathione levels, I can reduce the excess glutamate levels and the consequent depression it is causing. I’m convinced that Green Meadow Whey caused my body to produce a more optimal level of glutathione."
8. Whey protein may have beneficial effects on blood fats.
High LDL cholesterol is a risk factor for cardiovascular disease.
According to this study, Whey Protein Concentrate when taken 30 min before the main meal, exerted a stronger beneficial effect than Soy Protein Isolate on Blood Sugar, Fasting
Blood Sugar, and lipid profile of overweight and obese men over 12 weeks’ time.
Long-term, high dose whey protein supplementation may improve liver health, which would lower excessive cholesterol levels.
- 9. Whey protein is
highly satiating (filling), which may help reduce hunger.
Satiety is a term used to describe the feeling of fullness we experience after eating a meal. It
is the opposite of appetite and hunger, and it is a state where you have no more hidden hunger.
Some foods are more satiating than others, an effect which partly
depends on their macronutrient (protein, carb, fat) composition.
Protein is by far the most filling of the three macronutrients.
However, not all proteins have the same effect on satiety. According to one study, whey protein supplementation appears to have a positive after a meal effect on satiety and fullness compared with casein and carbohydrate
supplementation in overweight and obese individuals.
In one study comparing the effects of high amounts of either casein, soy, or whey protein in the breakfast meal, it was found whey decreased hunger more than casein or soy, coinciding with higher leucine, lysine, tryptophan, isoleucine, and threonine levels.
- 10. Whey protein can help you lose weight and protect against a fatty liver.
A double blind, placebo-controlled study showed that individuals with abdominal obesity who took 300 mg of lactoferrin per day for eight weeks had a significant reduction in abdominal fat, body weight, BMI, and hip circumference. Those who took lactoferrin lost 1.79 inches from their waistlines, compared to subjects in the control group who lost 0.35 inches.
We examined whether Lactoferrin prevents diet-induced obesity and development of fatty liver formation in mice. Lactoferrin (15% of dietary casein replaced by Lactoferrin) enhanced weight loss and decreased body fat content during energy
restriction compared to casein without influencing energy intake. During the without restriction feeding after weight loss, Lactoferrin suppressed weight regain and protected against the development of fatty liver formation compared to casein without influencing energy intake or fecal fat excretion. During the weight regain phase Lactoferrin also improved glucose tolerance, decreased skeletal muscle leptin mRNA expression, and ameliorated adipose tissue inflammation. In conclusion, Lactoferrin supplementation enhances the outcome of weight loss and subsequent weight regain, ameliorates
fatty liver formation, and exerts beneficial effects on glucose tolerance and adipocyte tissue inflammation without interfering with energy intake.
Side effects, dosage, and how to use it.
For most people whose ancestry has used dairy products in their diets for generations,
should tolerate our non-denatured whey protein.
In our day and age, we have more and more people succumbing to a leaky gut. This due to the consumption of a
wide array of gut injuring toxic foods, such as processed oils, white sugar consumption, and exposure to glyphosate. The herbicide called Glyphosate, which is found in Roundup has been proven to put holes in the intestinal wall.
Once you have developed a leaky gut, your body is prone to developing an immune response to the consumption of whey protein. If this is you, then you’ll have to avoid even our high-quality whey.
However, for most people, they do tolerate dairy, and our whey protein is tolerated better than any other brand out there. This is because it has never been damaged by heat.
Read Richard’s story of trying other brands of whey, all causing digestive upset, until he tried Green Meadow Whey: At 58 years of age, I was experiencing a dramatic energy decline. After a 5-day work week I had to use one of
my days off to rest and recover. I also had to cut my gym visits down from 3 times a week to once a week.
Since I began using GMW my energy level has
greatly improved. I no longer have to take a day to recover. I have increased my gym visits back to 3 times a week. I’m actually more active and feeling better now than I have in the last 5 years. It’s so nice to wake up in the morning feeling good and ready to go. Before trying GMW I must have tried every whey protein product on the market and every one of them caused me bloating, gas and constipation. I’ve had not such issues with GMW. In fact, I’m sleeping better, my vision has improved and
surprisingly, my emotional and mental state has also improved. I’ve what GMW has done for me. - Richard Griswell.
To achieve the benefits of consuming whey
with no other proteins at the time, you’ll want to have 1 scoop at a time. If you are 175 lbs. or more then you might be better off with 1.5 scoops at a time. Always listen to your body and let your results be your guide.
I would like to thank each and every one of you who has bought One World Whey or Green Meadow Whey from us, I appreciate your patronage.
