Adrenal Fatigue & Insomnia Support
There are 4 stages to adrenal fatigue and final exhaustion. In the first 2 phases, your can recover from more rest, less stress and good sleep. In the 3rd and 4th phases, you need to take the adrenal bioregulatory peptide Glandokort, to support the rebuilding process of your own adrenal glands. A process that commonly takes 6 months and for those like myself with more severe adrenal exhaustion, it may take 3 years of supplementation.
I discovered that I can alleviate mid morning and afternoon (4 p.m.) low cortisol fatigue by taking a liposomal DHEA and
Pregnenolone supplement called Core Hormone Support. When I take 10 to 20 drops of Core Hormone Support with 1 opened capsule of Pantothenic Acid (B5), then within 10 to 20
minutes I have sustained energy again.
Recently I completed both a 24 hour neurotransmitter test and a 24 hour
saliva hormone panel. The neurotransmitter test showed I was high in excitatory neurotransmitters. Which, makes my mind go from thought to thought very quickly. This is an imbalance I seek to correct. The saliva hormone test showed I had low cortisol in the morning and afternoon, and high cortisol at night.
The combination of these to tendencies, sets the stage for chronic insomnia.
I have found that using a Cortisol Lowering supplement an hour before
bed (Cortisol Stress Reset 1-2 caplets), followed by 20 drops of Progesterone in vitamin E oil (Simply Progesterone), along with 7 hour release melatonin (Melatonin IR/XR 2 caps) and a sedative herbal extract from kava root (Kava Calm RX 1-2 caps),
all at bedtime; that for the first time since 2001, I've been able to get 7 hours of sleep a night.
When I've gotten enough exercise in the day and I do not eat too late and I do not eat honey or concentrated sugars before bed, then with these supplements, I can sleep between 5 and 7 hours.
Until I can find a way for my organs and nervous system to create this homeostasis on their own, I will continue to use these life enhancing
supplements.
