Hello Everyone,
As I mentioned in my last newsletter I was completing a 7-day fast (the first 3.5 days were a dry fast and the last 3.5 days was a water fast) and it was intense!
I’ve learned so much more about the human body.
The most important thing I learned is that fasting lowers your metabolism…and that is not a good
thing.
So, it’s taking me some time to re-feed myself and get my metabolism working again to turn my food into energy.
It’s going to be a much longer process than I originally thought.
I know that having energy all day long is a huge problem for people…. their body doesn’t easily turn the food they eat into energy, also known as ATP.
Working a job, working out, taking care of kids etc. demands our
bodies to make a lot of energy.
And most people’s bodies are not meeting that demand…so they use some kind of stimulant.
Remember when we were kids, we had no energy problem. We could do anything, play, do sports, eat anything we wanted, and our bodies still made plenty of energy.
Most people I work with need some kind of help with energy and are reaching stimulants like coffee or other caffeinated energy drinks and
sugar.
The number one most important function of your body is to create energy.
It has several pathways by which it can do this. Some of those orchestra that conducts energy creation are, thyroid hormone levels, adrenal gland function, mitochondrial health, oxygen levels (controlled by pH levels), neurotransmitter, and neurohormone levels.
There is one main pathway though that is ideal and it’s the
pathway our bodies used when we were young.
It’s called the oxidative phosphorylation, whereby each molecule of glucose gets converted in the mitochondria into 32 to 34 units of ATP. Maybe you remember learning all about this “Krebs cycle” in science class.
BEAUTIFUL, GLORIOUS ENERGY…
EFFORTLESS ENERGY…
THE KIND OF ENERGY WE HAD AS A YOUNG
PERSON…
THE KIND OF ENERGY THAT ALLOWS US TO DO WHATEVER WE NEED AND WANT TO DO THAT DAY…
The goal my friends is to restore this pathway, so stay tuned for my upcoming newsletters.
The less effective means of energy creation is called glycolysis, whereby your cells only produce 2 units of ATP for each molecule of glucose.
Most of us have a broken metabolism. We are not making the 32-34 molecules of ATP
per molecule of glucose.
And we feel it.
The really sad news is that this broken or slowed down metabolism is the beginning signal of all disease processes.
Thyroid Hormones plummet and so does the body’s temperature.
So, I have learned that the most important thing we all need to do is restore our metabolism, not just for energy but to prevent and reverse any
disease.
This is your number one marker of good health.
I am going to create some programs to help people with this because it is not simple, and it is not easy…but it can be done and should be done if you want to have a good quality of life well into your senior years.
Continuing to use stimulants and eat the wrong food, foods that people think of as healthy, will continue to destroy your metabolism and make it
even harder to reverse.
So, in the coming months look for my emails.
In the meantime, we can use supplementation to enhance energy creation which takes the stress off your body. It will take time to restore your broken metabolism, during this time, using supplements to enhance your energy creation will greatly help with energy, lowered cortisol production and have anti-aging effects.
One of these pathways involves having enough NADH
and NAD+ in your system. These molecules stand for nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide + hydrogen.
NAD+ acts as an important cofactor and substrate for a multitude of biological processes including energy production, DNA repair, gene expression, calcium-dependent secondary messenger signaling and immunoregulatory roles.
The problem is that as we age, we see a gradual decline in cellular NAD⁺ levels. This decline in NAD⁺ is linked to numerous
age-associated diseases, including cognitive decline, cancer, metabolic disease, sarcopenia (age-related loss of muscle mass and strength), and frailty. Many of these diseases can be slowed down or even reversed by restoring NAD⁺ levels.
Recent studies have shown that raising intracellular NAD+ levels represent a promising therapeutic strategy for age-associated degenerative diseases in general and to extend lifespan in small animal models. [2]
One of the primary factors that age your cells is the accumulation of methyl groups along the DNA strand. CH3 is the chemical name for a methyl group. CH3 binds to the DNA
silencing its ability to make proteins.
As you age these methyl groups build up inside the DNA strand, shutting down the cells ability to make proteins.
If there were a means of removing these methyl groups then your DNA would be restored in their ability to make proteins.
Fortunately, there is a way to remove the CH3 chemical from the DNA strand!
One way to accomplish this is to
increase your NAD+ levels. NAD+ activates pathways that remove the CH3 compound from the DNA strand, thus restoring your cell’s ability to make healthy proteins.
There is one catch. In order for NAD+ to work, you have to have enough sirtuin proteins present. So you might be asking, what increases both NAD+ and sirtuin proteins at the same time?
That would be a combination of Nicotinamide Riboside, Quercetin Phytosome, Trans-Resveratrol, and
Trimethylglycine. All of this is found in our product ResveraCel.
Taking 1-2 capsules of ResveraCel in the morning with or without food will support your cellular
energy production, which will affect your mood, cognitive health and have anti-aging benefits.
